Fall 2011:
Service, Reflection & Potluck with Patrick Cashio (9/10) 
We’re kicking off our fall calendar with a few hours of service and reflection and a potluck lunch! This is a chance to bring together the community of folks who have been involved in various young adult ministry programming over the past year and to get to know the new Director of Young Adult Ministry, Patrick Cashio.
Afternoon for El Salvador
The Romero Mission to El Salvador group, whose members recently returned from 9-day service immersion in El Salvador, is hosting Salvadoran speakers Luis and Sonia Ramos, who were forced to flee their country under threat of death during the county’s civil war. Luis and Sonia will discuss the politics, religion, and culture of their homeland both then and now, through personal stories of living through the civil war and their journey to the United States.
Creating Through Faith & Justice
This Sunday afternoon series explores the connections between art, faith and justice with time for prayer, education, individual art making, community reflection and dinner. The next session is September 25th. Join us for an exploration of depictions of justice in art.
North Korea is owner to some of the greatest human rights atrocities of our generation. This traveling group of activists are raising awareness and funds to help North Korean refugees find safety and new lives. Join us at the Romero Center on October 26th at 6:30pm for a screening of their latest documentary and find out how you can get involved.
Run The Bridge: Connecting Communities![]()
This is a unique opportunity to connect with other young adults and the homeless in Camden and Philadelphia through running, service, and education. Romero Center ministries is hosting group runs, a service opportunity, and a dinner with guest speakers that lead up to the Ben Franklin “Run the Bridge” 10k on November 6th. All skill levels welcome!
Tattoos on the Heart Discussion Groups
Small groups will gather to spend a few hours at a local service agency, and then meet for three consecutive weeks to discussFr. Greg Boyle’s book, Tattoos on the Heart, a collection of moving stories about his work with young gang members in Los Angeles. Three groups (in three different locations) will meet throughout the fall.

JusticeWalking
JusticeWalking is a ten-week journey with a small community that commits to learn about and apply Catholic Social Teaching to their lives. This journey includes weekly sessions that incorporate service and reflection on selected texts. The weekly sessions are framed by opening and closing retreats. JusticeWalking is a program of JustFaith Ministries, adapted for use by Romero Center Ministries.
